La Fonda Mexican Restaurant: A Vibrant Destination for Delicious Mexican Seafood

Stopped in for lunch on a Thursday and we were seated immediately. Chips and salsa were on the table in a flash and drink orders were taken and served quickly. That’s the way I like it! The chips were warm and delicious and the salsa was not overpowering. La Fonda has a comprehensive multi-page menu with just about any type of Mexican food you can think of. The prices are reasonably gentle on your wallet and the service was speedy but not pushy. We ate a relaxed lunch with several check-ins from our server along with beverage refills. I had the La Fonda burrito while others had street tacos and enchiladas. Everything was tasty with good presentation. The burrito was gigantic. The good part was that it wasn’t too heavy. It had a lighter quality that didn’t drop to the bottom of your stomach like some burritos I’ve had. There seemed to be ample parking in the parking lot for lunch too. So often it seems like you have to circle a block several times to find a parking spot in the Denver metro area these days. I highly recommend La Fonda for quality Mexican fare with good service.

Impressive old style mexican restaurant. The service was quick and friendly, and most importantly the food was really good.

Combo plates offer SO much food for the price, & all of it was delicious! Will definitely come back to try the seafood soups (caldo de mariscos). The chilaquiles look like an amazing option for breakfast, too.

This Gem of a restaurant has been around for decades. The food is true Mexican cuisine and not Tex Mex their menu has dozens of options. This has been a Staple in wheatRidge for as long as I can remember. Service is very friendly and fast, food is good and portions are large. Every Sauce has its own unique flavor and texture. Prices are reasonable and not overly priced. I would recommend this Gem of a restaurant.

I’ve been here twice now with my mother. This restaurant has some of the most delicious Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. The service the second time around was okay, but the waitress misplaced our order ticket so my mother and I waited a long time for our food. Regardless, everything was wonderful and I highly recommend their fish tacos and shrimp fajitas, they’re amazing

Service was very friendly and quick! The atmosphere is very family-oriented and cultural, which is appreciated too. While our main dishes didn’t stand out as mind- blowing, the salsa and chips were great.

Every time I’ve visited La Fonda, the experience has been consistently excellent. The service is friendly and reliable, the food is always fresh and flavorful, and the drinks are expertly made. The chips and guacamole are my personal favorite, and the owners are exceptionally attentive and kind. I highly recommend La Fonda for anyone looking for great food and warm hospitality.

This wonderful restaurant has been around since the 1970's and has always served quality home style authentic Mexican food. The staff are kind and serve with grace and synchronicity. Portions are generous and delicious. La Fonda is a great place do grab a quick meal or celebrate an anniversary or birthday with family and friends. The menu is huge and many delicious options are available to choose from with reasonable pricing. This is a very good place to eat!
